Caramel Apple Bark Ingredients

  • 1 granny smith apple, diced
  • 1 cup of pretzels
  • 1/4 cup of vegan caramel sauce
  • 1 cup of dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil

Vegan Caramel Sauce


An important part of this recipe is the delicious vegan caramel sauce on top. You may be able to find a vegan caramel at the grocery store and online, or you can go the homemade route. It’s actually very easy!

To make a vegan caramel sauce, you just need a saucepan, 1 cup of organic cane sugar, 6 tablespoons of softened vegan butter, 1/2 cup of vegan heavy cream (or coconut cream), and a teaspoon of flaky salt. Get the recipe: here.

How to make Caramel Apple Bark

  1. To a medium bowl, add a cup of chocolate chips and a tablespoon of coconut oil. Melt in the microwave. 
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and evenly spread the melted chocolate. 
  3. Layer the pretzels and apples on top of the melted chocolate. Then drizzle caramel sauce all over the top.
  4. Place the sheet into the freezer for 15 minutes.
  5. Once the chocolate solidifies, break up the bark into pieces and enjoy! 
  6. Keep the remaining pieces stored in the fridge.
