Ornament Sparklers Christmas Cocktail

Cooks in 5 minutes Difficulty Easy

Get ready to serve up some cocktails as festive as the tree! These Ornament Sparklers are the cutest drink for your Christmas party.

These Ornament Sparklers Christmas Cocktails are as festive as the tree! 🥂🎄❤️ It’s a delicious combination of tasty pomegranate juice, bubbly champagne, and a sprinkle of edible glitter for some extra holiday magic. We’ll be using special ornament shot glasses to make it extra festive. So, let’s dive into how you can make this fun drink that’ll make your holiday gatherings extra special.

Ingredients for this Christmas Cocktail:

  • 2 cups Pomegranate Juice: Using red juice makes this drink extra festive, so I also would recommend a cranberry juice cocktail for this recipe. Although, you can use any juice you prefer.
  • 2 teaspoons Edible Glitter
  • 1/4 cup Pomegranate Seeds: This is optional but I love the way these look floating in the fizzy drink. They’re also delicious to eat after finishing the drink.
  • 1 (750ml) bottle of Champagne: Prosecco or Cava works as well. Read below to see all the different non-alcoholic options you can use in place of champagne.
  • Sugar Rim: Maple Syrup and White Sparkling Sugar Sprinkles.

You’ll Also Need:

  • Ornament Shots – These shot glasses are the star of the show! Not only are these shot glasses adorable, but they’re also very durable. If you can’t get these, I recommend using clear ornaments, preferably plastic so they don’t accidentally break if they fall.
  • Champagne Glasses – You’ll need cocktail glasses with small rims so they can hold up the ornament shots.

How to make Ornament Sparklers:

1. Fill each ornament shot glass with pomegranate juice and 1/4 teaspoon of edible glitter. Screw on the lid and shake well before serving.

2. Sugar Rim (optional): Hold the champagne glass by the stem, and dip the rim into a plate with maple syrup, rotating the glass slightly to ensure an even coating. Immediately dip the syrup-coated rim into a plate with white sparkling sugar sprinkles. Rotate the glass to ensure the entire rim is covered with the sugar. Gently tap the glass on the side of the plate to remove any excess sugar.

3. Add a teaspoon of pomegranate seeds to each glass.

4. Pour Champagne (or Sprite) to the halfway mark in the glasses and carefully place the ornaments on top.

5. Before serving to your guests, tell them to shake the ornament shot before pouring the juice into the champagne glass.

6. Enjoy & Happy Holidays!

Make It A Christmas Mocktail:

If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic alternative for these Ornament Sparklers, you can have lots of options to make this festive drink into a mocktail. Instead of champagne, opt for non-alcoholic sparkling beverages like Sprite, Sparkling Apple Cider, Ginger Ale, or Sparkling Grape Juice. The carbonation will still provide that fizzy kick, elevating the overall experience.

Tips For Serving:

If you’re making this for a party, I recommend preparing the ornament shots and sugar-rims in advance. Keep everything in the fridge. When you’re ready to serve your guests, add pomegranates and your sparkling drink to the glass.
