Looking for an easy way to incorporate more protein into your diet? Then this vanilla chai protein shake recipe is for you! Whether you’re vegan or not, it can be difficult to get enough protein in your diet. Post-workout protein is essential for muscle recovery and growth, making this shake a perfect choice.
Packed with over 27 grams of protein, this creamy, spiced shake is both nourishing and satisfying. Ingredients like soy milk, almond butter, and plant-based protein powder come together to create a flavorful, protein-rich meal or snack to keep you fueled!
Ingredients for this autumn protein smoothie:
- Oat or Soy Milk
- Chai Concentrate: I get mine from Trader Joe’s. Tazo has a chai concentrate as well.
- Frozen Banana
- Cinnamon: Or Pumpkin Pie Spice🎃
- Vanilla Protein Powder
- Almond Butter: Or any nut butter that you prefer.
- Ice
You will need:
- High-Speed Blender: Like a blender cup or the Vitamix E310, which is what I use. It’s definitely an investment but completely worth the money because it’s just as amazing as the day I bought it 5 years ago! Before the Vitamix, I would use lower-end blenders that would all break within a couple of months, and they were not able to make smoothies and acai bowls as creamy.
Which Vegan Vanilla Protein Powder to use?
Here are some of my Protein Powders favorites that have good ingredients and more importantly taste good:
- Naked Shake – Vanilla Protein Powder
- Ora Organic Vegan Vanilla Protein Powder
- BIRDMAN Fitmingo Vegan Protein Powder
How to make this Vanilla Chai Protein Shake

Delicious! I used a frozen banana so I only added a few ice cubes. Also had unflavored protein and oat milk, so next time I’ll try adding a dash of vanilla for that flavor.
Allie, I’m thrilled to hear you enjoyed this smoothie! Hoping you love it even more with a dash of vanilla next time. Thank you for leaving this great review.😊
Best wishes,
