Make your Christmas party sparkle with these Mistletoe Mimosas! A splash of cranberry, a twist of apple, and a hint of rosemary make this drink an instant hit.🎄🥂✨
This Christmas cocktail is inspired by the festive mistletoe plant, but it does not contain any. Quick Note: Mistletoe is toxic to humans, so keep it for decoration and enjoy the drink instead!

What is a Mimosa?
This cocktail is traditionally made with champagne and fresh orange juice, but this is my holiday twist on the classic mimosa recipe. Normally, you don’t put ice cubes into a mimosa, but trust me on this one. As you sip on your champagne or cider, the mistletoe ice cube will slowly melt, and the juice will infuse into your drink. This adds an extra layer of flavor while keeping your drink chilled—what’s not to love?
Ingredients for Mistletoe Mimosas & Mocktails:
- Fresh Cranberries: Used primarily for decoration, fresh cranberries add a festive touch to your mimosas. They look beautiful in the drink but are not intended to be eaten.
- Rosemary: This herb gives the drink a lovely smell that adds to the holiday vibe. You won’t taste it, but gives your drink that festive mistletoe look.
- Cranberry Juice Cocktail: Adds a sweet and tangy kick that balances the flavors and gives your Mistletoe Mimosas a festive red hue perfect for the holidays!
- Apple Juice: A splash of apple juice adds a nice sweetness that pairs perfectly with the cranberry, making your mimosas slightly sweet.
- Champagne: Go for a dry sparkling wine or champagne to give your mimosas some bubbly flair. If you want a non-alcoholic option, Sparkling Apple Cider is a fun way to keep it festive!

How to make a Mistletoe Mimosa Ice Cubes:
- Pop about 12 cranberries into each ice cube mold (to symbolize the 12 days of Christmas, but you can add as many as you like).
- Pour cranberry juice into each mold until it’s halfway full, then top off with apple juice. Note: Leave a little space at the top, because the liquid will expand when it freezes.
- Add a sprig of rosemary to each mold, then carefully move the tray to the freezer and let them freeze overnight until solid.
- When you’re ready to serve, gently push the mistletoe ice cubes out of the molds and place them in cocktail glasses.
- Pour Champagne (or Sparkling Apple Cider) over the ice cubes. Enjoy & Happy Holidays!
With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos. But with these Mistletoe Mimosas, you can create a moment of calm and joy. Whether you’re taking a break from wrapping presents or enjoying a festive brunch, these drinks will add a delightful touch to your day. So, go ahead, take a sip, and let the holiday spirit wash over you!
Storage:
The Mistletoe Mimosa ice cubes can last in the freezer for about five days. While they can technically stay frozen longer, the fresh rosemary may wilt over time, so it’s best to enjoy them within that timeframe for optimal freshness and flavor. If you’re planning to make them ahead of time, just keep that in mind!

Delicious and super easy. Will be on my annual holiday recipe list. It was a crowd pleaser. Sprig of rosemary was great add for the aroma! Note to self don’t taste the cranberry because very tart 😂. I used frozen cranberries.

And yes, cranberries can pack a tart punch lol. I don’t suggest eating them since they’re mainly for looks.
I appreciate your support and hope the drink continues to bring joy to your holiday gatherings. Cheers to many more festive moments!
