Brazilian Lemonade (Dairy Free)

Cooks in 10 minutes Difficulty Easy

Unlike traditional American lemonades, Brazilian lemonade incorporates a unique twist that sets it apart: Luscious limes and creamy sweetened condensed coconut milk! Enjoy this dairy-free version all summer long.

This Brazilian Lemonade recipe is a delightful and dairy-free drink that’s perfect for a hot Summer day. The combination of frozen limes and sweetened condensed coconut milk creates a symphony of flavors that will transport you to the tropics.

Brazilian Lemonade Ingredients:

  • 7 juicy limes, skin peeled and frozen: You can keep the peels on, but that will give the lemonade more bitterness. Freeze the limes for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
  • 3/4 cup of Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk
  • Ice, for serving

Coconut Lime Rim (Optional)

Make this mocktail look extra fancy and delicious with some lime zest and the leftover condensed milk! Impress your friends and family at parties with this extra touch.

Utensils you’ll need:

  • Fine Mesh Stainer: This is important for straining all the pulp out of the lime juice. The rinds of the limes can make this drink bitter, so it’s best to remove as much as possible with a strainer.

How to make Brazilian Lemonade:

  1. Wash and cut the skin off of the limes. Freeze for 4 to 6 hours (or overnight).
  2. Blend the frozen limes and water.
  3. Strain the juice with a fine mesh strainer to remove the bitter rinds.
  4. Pour the strained juice back into the blender and add the condensed milk. Blend for a few seconds until it’s mixed together and frothy.
  5. Place ice into coconut lime-rimmed glasses and pour in the blender contents.
  6. Coconut Lime Rim (Optional): Pour condensed milk onto a plate and dip the glass rim into it. Next, carefully dip the rimmed glass onto a plate with lime zest. Rotate the glass to ensure the rim is evenly covered.
