Berries and Cream Smoothie

Cooks in 5 minutes Difficulty Easy

You don’t have to be a little lad to love this berries and cream smoothie! Even though I think he would approve of this protein shake recipe. All you need is 5 ingredients.

I love this protein shake because it uses 5 ingredients that I always have in the fridge. Make it look extra beautiful and delicious by scraping some extra yogurt on the sides of your glass before pouring in the smoothie.

Berry Smoothie Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of frozen mixed berries: The bags I buy are usually a mix of strawberries, blueberries, & raspberries.
  • 1/2 of a frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup of oat milk
  • 2/3 cup of vanilla dairy-free yogurt: Plus more for inside the cup.
  • Vanilla Protein Powder: My current favorite brand of vegan protein powder is the Ora Organic Vegan Protein Powder.

You will also need:

  • High-Speed Blender: I use the Vitamix E310. It’s definitely an investment but completely worth the money because it’s just as amazing as the day I bought it 5 years ago! Before the Vitamix, I would use cheap lower-end blenders that would all break within a couple of months.
  • Cute Glass Straws: Totally optional but they make it look extra aesthetic! Plus I think smoothies taste better from a straw.

How to make a berries and cream protein shake:

Combine frozen mixed berries, frozen bananas, oat milk, vanilla yogurt, and vanilla protein powder in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Pour extra yogurt into the cup and scrape it along the sides of the glass with the back of a spoon. Pour in the smoothie and enjoy!

Which Vanilla Protein Powder do I use?

I used to buy whatever protein powder was the cheapest, but then I realized not all of them have great ingredients. It’s important to pick a company that tests its protein powders and other supplements for heavy metals.

When I switch to a good protein powder it helped with my bloating, digestion, and skin. This one is made with clean ingredients and tastes great. All while being relatively affordable:  Ora Organic Vegan Protein Powder (Vanilla).
