Vanilla Chai Protein Shake

Cooks in 5 minutes Difficulty Easy

This vanilla chai protein shake tastes just like fall and contains over 27 grams of protein! It combines the delicious flavors of vanilla and chai tea with the added benefit of protein powder, making it a great way to fuel your body and keep you feeling satisfied all morning long for breakfast or after a workout.

Looking for an easy way to incorporate more protein into your diet? Then this vanilla chai protein shake recipe is for you! Whether you’re vegan or not, it can be difficult to get enough protein in your diet. If you lift weights or exercise often then it’s important to consume protein afterward to grow muscle.

This vegan protein shake recipe packs in a whopping 27 grams of protein! Using soy milk, almond butter, and plant-based protein powder makes this a filling and protein-packed meal.

Ingredients for this autumn protein smoothie:

  • 1 cup of oat milk: Or soy milk for more protein.
  • 1/4 cup of chai concentrate: I get mine from Trader Joe’s. Tazo has a chai concentrate as well.
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon: Or Pumpkin Pie Spice🎃
  • 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder: My favorite brand of vegan protein powder with great ingredients is the Ora Organic Vegan Protein Powder.
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter: Or any nut butter that you prefer.
  • 1 cup of ice

You will need:

  • High-Speed Blender: Like a blender cup or the Vitamix E310, which is what I use. It’s definitely an investment but completely worth the money because it’s just as amazing as the day I bought it 5 years ago! Before the Vitamix, I would use lower-end blenders that would all break within a couple of months, and they were not able to make smoothies and acai bowls as creamy.
Get it on Amazon.

Which Vegan Vanilla Protein Powder do I use?

I used to buy whatever protein powder was the cheapest, but then I realized not all of them have great ingredients. When I switched to a good protein powder it helped me significantly with my bloating, digestion, and skin.

This protein powder is made with clean ingredients, tastes great, and it’s relatively affordable:  Ora Organic Vegan Protein Powder (Vanilla).
