Description
For your next Christmas party, bake up this show-stopping Nutella Christmas Tree! This will be the ultimate dessert centerpiece for your holiday feast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 sheets Puff Pastry Dough, thawed
- 1 cup Vegan Nutella Spread
- 2 tablespoons Vegan Butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- Powdered Sugar, for topping
Utensils:
- Baking Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Pizza Cutter or Sharp Knife
- Star-Shaped Cutter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 F (190C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll one of the thawed puff pastry sheets and place it on the baking sheet.
- Spread the Nutella evenly onto the puff pastry sheet. Unroll the second puff pastry sheet and place on top.
- Using a knife or a pizza cutter, cut the layered pastry sheets into the shape of a Christmas tree (refer to the images and video above for a visual guide).
- Use a Star-Shaped Cutter to cut out stars for decoration from the excess (optional). Then pull away the spare pastry.
- Cut strips along the sides of the puff pastry tree, leaving the center uncut. This will create the branches.
- Twist each branch a couple of times (all in the same direction). Place a pastry star at the top of the tree and some down the side. Brush the tree with melted vegan butter and sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until risen and golden brown.
- Transfer to a serving board, dust with powdered sugar, and enjoy! Merry Christmas!
