Description

For your next Christmas party, bake up this show-stopping Nutella Christmas Tree! This will be the ultimate dessert centerpiece for your holiday feast.

Ingredients

Scale

Utensils:

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F (190C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll one of the thawed puff pastry sheets and place it on the baking sheet.
  2. Spread the Nutella evenly onto the puff pastry sheet. Unroll the second puff pastry sheet and place on top.
  3. Using a knife or a pizza cutter, cut the layered pastry sheets into the shape of a Christmas tree (refer to the images and video above for a visual guide).
  4. Use a Star-Shaped Cutter to cut out stars for decoration from the excess (optional). Then pull away the spare pastry.
  5. Cut strips along the sides of the puff pastry tree, leaving the center uncut. This will create the branches.
  6. Twist each branch a couple of times (all in the same direction). Place a pastry star at the top of the tree and some down the side. Brush the tree with melted vegan butter and sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until risen and golden brown.
  8. Transfer to a serving board, dust with powdered sugar, and enjoy! Merry Christmas!
