Description

You and the kiddos will love making this fun Halloween recipe! These mummy hot dogs are simple and only require 3 ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 vegan hot dogs *
  • ½ can Pillsbury original crescent rolls (accidentally vegan!)
  • 16 small candy eyeballs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (176 C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Open the crescent can and unroll half of the dough out on a flat surface (store the other half in the fridge). Cut the dough into 1/2-inch strips.
  3. Wrap and stretch the pieces of dough around each hot dog. Let it overlap and criss-cross but leave gaps so it looks like bandages.
  4. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until they look golden brown. Let it cool down for five minutes.
  5. Attach candy eyes by dipping the back of them into a condiment (like ketchup or mustard) and stick a couple onto each hot dog mummy. *They are solely for a spooky Halloween look. I don’t recommend actually eating them with the hot dog rolls.

Notes

  • I always use the LightLife smart dogs.
